A prairie farmer builds the “Hopper” to easily attach to a grain auger to take grain out of hopper bottom bins. The unit is flexible so it can squeeze under the limited space on the bottom of most hopper bottom bins. It also seals up nicely to prevent grain from spilling out. At the time of our visit in 2011 the Hopper was designed for 8, 10 and 12 inch augers with prices ranging from $650 to $725.
